Barefoot MBA Program
GIVE recently adopted the Barefoot MBA, an open-source business curriculum that teaches fundamental business concepts to micro-entrepreneurs.
Barefoot MBA was developed in partnership with the Population and Community Development Association, a prominent Thai NGO, and Scott Raymond and Catherine Boas, both Stanford Business School MBA graduates. The curriculum was adapted from the original Thai version and currently being used by several NGOs in Asia, India and South America.
GIVE organized a recent Barefoot MBA training of trainers (TOT) workshop in Negros, Philippines with 40 participants from several Asian NGOs. We are currently supporting implementation of the Barefoot MBA in local communities in the Philippines and Cambodia by organizing programs and training facilities in partner communities.
We are excited about expanding the Barefoot MBA to reach small entrepreneurs for upcoming projects throughout Southeast Asia where we intend to adapt the curriculum to local conditions and create scalable entrepreneurship training programs.
